We like to name things…Bella Moona Pictures is an experimental name, a working title conceived by us to slightly tell apart (at least, on paper) between the cinema and photography side of things.
David Campany once said that, “stillness became definitive of photography only in the shadow of the cinema.” Bella Moona (to be read photography) is not a “by-product” but an important ingredient in our formula. We love both mediums equally and we definitely believe there’s a strong reciprocal influence of the two on our style. As photography becomes integral part of our efforts to craft better imagery that ultimately conveys compelling stories, we well regularly make use of still images in our films or simply accompany them with still images. Well, this is where Bella Moona (merely a label) comes into play!
