Based in Montreal – Québec, Ioan Films specializes in lifestyle cinematography. We love what we do and we do what we love. We are foremost storytellers and we get our inspiration from life. From weddings and engagement short films, to children and family portraits, we handcraft artsy and heartfelt moving pictures.
Although we started Ioan Films in 2007, we come with many years of worldwide filming and editing experience. While most of us have spent more than 10 years in the video production field and are experienced broadcast professionals, the other significant ones have worked on more than a few weddings as hired shooters or editors. Additionally, we all are formally trained and have under our belts BA Degrees either in Fine Arts, Film or Communication Studies.
We have a laid-back mind-set when we work. We document all the important particulars in a discreet fashion, so that you unfold your individuality. Remember, it’s all about capturing genuine human emotions. We want that every sequence of your film to be moving and deeply personal; in the end, it will be your most treasured memento for decades to come.
Moreover, we have in common a strong passion for well-crafted visuals. We draw our inspiration from the contemporary photography and film aesthetics; our aim is to say more while being less gaudy. Our hands-on experience and aesthetic know-how allow us to focus on things like composition, continuity and shooting methods, while constantly having in mind and thinking beforehand to the assembling process. We want that everything we create to be both engaging and moving. Period.
